Re-sale Shop bargain

A beautiful, unseasonably warm winter Sunday! Our favorite re-sale shop (Salvation Army Thriftstore) had its annual after-Christmas sale. The cute crinkly/pleated no-name Dress was purchased for under $1.50. Could also be used as a Top. Combined with her smile, Boots from Payless,  and Purple tights, it's a winning combination.

JCrew: Twirltime Dress for Girls

Here's the dress in Magnificent Purple. I was pleasantly surprised at its cuteness. What clinched it for me was how absolutely pretty the flounced/ruffled tiers look in the BACK as well as in the front. It's also warm with its bracelet sleeves; and looked perfect for colder weather when combined with boots and tights. Definitely a thumbs-up for us. JCrew knows how to combine plain cotton jersey with luxurious silk to make one, stunning girl's dress.

Happy Easter!

The Lord Jesus Christ  is risen from the dead, as He said...

Happy Resurrection Day!
Happy Easter!

What the nail during Jesus' crucifixion may have looked like;
though more likely to have been thicker, and much more rough and unfinished

Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross...

Bergdorf Goodman: Stone Bib Dress

BG was having a sale and this dress came in sizes that would fit the girls. It's by Sara Sara. Never had one of  of their outfits before, and I'm impressed.  What a stunner. It's well-made, and lined. The stones are tightly sewn-on, colorful, bright, and substantial.  The material is in easy-care polyester.  The girls luv it too! I couldn't resist posting their "twin" picture on FB.

Un Deux Trois Dress

This  was  used as a Halloween Dress by daughter.  She called herself a Cowgirl.  Thus, we call this the Spotted Cow dress, lol.

Crewcuts Collection JCrew Dress

Here is a picture which combines two of my loves: Daughter and Doggy.  Farrah is wearing a very lovely flounced dress by JCrew in shades of beige. She has the same dress in Lilac. Her headband is also by JCrew. Doggy is in her usual furry costume. What a great find she was at our local Animal shelter!

Un Deux Trois Dress

This expensive and exquisite sequined dress went through the best of times and the worst of times. The first time Farrah wore it was at Jim and Tess' wedding.  One lady declared that Farrah was the best-dressed among the guests.  The last time it was worn was at my Dad's funeral.  It drew rave reviews from my sister and admiring glances from others. Farrah may have worn it one more time between these two events; twice, tops.  So, it was worn only a handful of times, not nearly enough to recoup what I paid for it, but the gasps it drew was "payment" enough for me.  It's definitely a stunner, much better-looking in person.  We will miss this lovely creation, as it's recently been sold.

Zoe Hoodie + Leggings

I liked this outfit at first sight.  Animal-print is popular at the moment.  It'll keep FJE warm while it's still Winter. It'll be great to wear during our planned weekend in Kentucky in March.  The price is right. Plus no sales tax.  Our pictures shows her without shoes, and the outfit is wrinkled from its packaging.  But, it's much cuter IRL.  BG has sold out of it in her size as of today.
